Don't miss your chance to attend the Spring 2017 session of the DAC School Forensic Video/Audio Training, which will be held on 8-12 May 2017 at the Hampton Inn & Suites Amelia Island - Historic Harbor Front, Fernandina Beach, FL.

Based on the latest VideoFOCUS Pro and CARDINAL MiniLab software by Salient Sciences, this intensive training teaches how to clarify evidentiary video and audio recordings in a unified way. Techniques for importing and synchronizing multiple CCTV and other video files, viewing and analyzing the video frame by frame, clarifying the video and images, reducing noises and effects in the audio track(s), maximizing voice intelligibility, and exporting the finished product, are taught through a combination of lecture, careful observation and analysis, critical listening, and hands-on practical exercises with state-of-the-art tools and real-world training materials. On the final day of the class, each student will be provided with a certificate for the attended training.

Attendance for this event is generally restricted to law-enforcement and governmental personnel; at the sole discretion of Salient Sciences, certain private-sector professionals who are actively working in the forensic audio/video field may also be invited to attend. 

Enrollment is limited to 12 attendees, first-come, first-serve. All necessary equipment and materials for the training will be supplied by Salient Sciences; however, for those attendees preferring to use their own laptop computers, USB drives for installing the software (either 30-day trial or purchased software) and training files will be made available.

Minimum Computer Requirements (for attendees bringing their own laptops):
Laptop with Windows 7 or 10, 64-bit OS, and meeting the following minimum requirements: 4GB of RAM, 15” widescreen display, one functioning USB port, and a functioning headphone jack. Should have an AC adapter compatible with a 120VAC / 60 Hz US power outlet and a good-quality pair of headphones (preferably closed-back, not earbuds) available for private listening

* Training + Software option includes a fully-functional Subscription license to the VideoFOCUS Pro software (USB Dongle Activation), with maintenance and updates for one full year after the training. Dongle and software CD will be delivered at the training for installation on attendee's own computer, if desired (see Minimum Computer Requirements).
